I remember the first posting of this video...did I think it was abuse? no...did it make me feel uncomfortable? yes. That's all I have to say.

Whatever. A practical joke is one thing...but purposely humiliating anyone and then posting it online is another, usually known as abusive behavior.

Exactly Old Dominion. It is abuse. Also to humiliate is sick. My brother does this ####### too and he has been warned many times to stop it.

Thanks. Until you wrote, I was beginning to think this kind of behavior was a Texas thang. Even the hillbilly guys with their moonshine and 'baccy around here look after their wives better than that, INCLUDING providing washers and dryers. They know enough to respect them and find better ways to tease one another.

Someone needs to lighten up. And he already cleared up the washer/dryer thing.

The first one is mine, the other is one I found on YouTube. Regarding the psychobabble: Sticks and stones.....

I've got a set-up for your wife. Wake up you in the middle of the night with an air horn and run at you with a flashlight in each hand. Looks just like an oncoming truck for a few seconds.

How would you know that?

She'd actually have to construct something to hold everything. I think that would be a great prank though. I am 42 and a smoker however. She may want to wait until she has her 10 year G.C., although the 100K (life insurance) would go a long way there.

Sounds like we are in the same boat there - worth more dead than alive  . Do you live there full time? Cool videos, by the way. Abuse is in the effect and intent. Definitely not present IMHO.

No I don't live there. I'm exploring the possibility of working there, but the world economy has me a bit worried. I make good money here and we're busier than ever. I've been waiting for this years taxes before I filed the I-130/I-129. I'm going back over next month to visit and see how realistic teaching English is as an option. If I don't feel it's in the cards I'll be coming back and filing the papers.

I won't be scaring her anymore though. That video of the lady falling into the tub made me think about the possibility of injury. Her husband is lucky she's not paralyzed. I was also lucky. The loud bang is my head hitting the tin roof that I forgot about. Another inch and I would have split my head open on the edge. I know that would have broken a few hearts here.

Thanks for the responses everybody, even the negative ones. You do have a right to post your opinion, until it becomes libelous.

I did speak with Thuy last night and she doesn't have a problem with the video or the fact that it's online.

I briefly investigated the possibility of living and working in Vika's country (Ukraine) too. There is no way I could generate anywhere near the income I do here, and I never even considered the world economy. It took us about a five minute conversation to determine where to live. I salute you for investigating and attempting though.

English teachers make between $10 to $20 an hour over there. I could actually do as good as I do here. The problem is finding an honest school. There are one's that will have you teach for a month, then when payday comes they try to rip you off.

i am always careful not to frighten sanita at night..she has a 25 caliber berreta bobcat on the night stand next to her....

Peace to All creatures great and small............................................

But when we turn to the Hebrew literature, we do not find such jokes about the donkey. Rather the animal is known for its strength and its loyalty to its master (Genesis 49:14; Numbers 22:30).

It wasn't abusive. I wouldn't be amused, but it certainly wasn't abusive.

The vid that Marilyn posted with the woman and the soap dish...I wonder if she seriously hurt herself cos that looked awful.

Kinda sadistic, both of them.... :bonk: This is what the Adam-Walsh act is all about. You guys proud or something?

Yes.

The Adam Walsh Act covers a lot of ground. Regarding Visas it is to protect Women (or Men I guess) from being beaten/abused. I can assure you that I would never lay a hand on my wife and that I love her very much. She laughs about the video now and likes it when I tell her that people enjoy it. To bring it into the conversation is highly insulting.

Amby see what you've gotten me into?

Actually, I just noticed one of your posts regarding the Adam Walsh Act. Turns out it covers sex offenders and you know that. I would suggest you follow this link and think twice before you ever infer that I am a sex offender.

http://www.firstamendmentcenter.org/speech...ic=online_libel

OD implied, you inferred. Soz for being pedantic, but that's a peeve of mine ;) However, the implication that AWA is for 'guys like you' based on this vid is just plain insulting.

I made about $16/hr teaching English in Taiwan seven years ago. If you can make that much in Vietnam that would be relatively big money by local standards.
