Hi,

I just got back from Canada last night for the first time on my AP. I had a little bit of drama on my I-94, which I didn't know what to do with either.

I got sent to secondary where I got stuck with a real Beeeeach. She asked me where's your I-94? I said it's in my passport. She said that's expired (which was true). Where's your I-94? I was confused and said that was the only I-94 I had. After asking me for my I-94 at least two more times, she exasperatedly gave me a new I-94 form to fill out, which she could have just done without all the drama. I filled it out while she looked me up on the computer.

When I went back to her station she seemed a little nicer, but decided to ask me a trick question ... how long have you been married? I said since Aug 1. I guess she wanted to make sure I had fulfilled the obligations of the K1.

She stamped my passport and my AP with a parole stamp. She tore the original I-94 out of my passport and put the new one in (no staples) and told me to follow the instructions on the back of the I-94, which in Canada is to turn it in when I go through Canadian customs. I have to go back to Canada again next week, so I guess I'll do that and then get another new I-94 when I return.

I was nervous about letting go of my original I-94, but I do have copies of it.

So, I'm not sure if she processed me correctly, but she says to follow the instructions on the back of your I-94.
