wedding registerys' wt?

ok well we are trying to get our official invites out soon and are getting them sorted for printing now.

and of course the wedding registary issue has been brought up seen as the standard is to tell the guests with the invite where you are registered.

So thoughts were somewhere reasonable for everyone, and for those that are bothered about buying something thats posh, somewhere more upscale hight street.

so i was messing around looking at the upscale market one (maceys) to have a look at what you have to do, and apparently i can start picking if i want.

yeh right like i know what to put on there

so i made the mistake of looking at the sample. wt? Do people really ask for $500 dysons on a wedding registary? and omg do they really think someone would put a $1000 air conditioner on there, or rather would someone actually buy it for a wedding gift.

Sure, $500 or $1000 wedding gifts are not unusual for the closest of family members or the closest of friends.

Of course, you don't wanna put a lot of those on there. Most of your guests won't spend that much. I'd say a wedding gift for a good friend will probably be in the $200-300 range. For a casual (say from work) acquaintance, about $100.

ah a registry...

We kinda eloped and only a handful of friends and family gave gifts. Would have been nice especially with a new place coming up shortly.

Most of my friends do Bed Bath and Beyond, JC Penney, Macys...

You know your family and friends and if you think something that's $500 or $1000 is over the top to them then don't put it on there. A friend of mine had lived with her guy for a few years before they married so they registered for some items and also did a honeymoon registry thing. I know you can also register at certain banks and people can just put money into the account or something. Not sure how that works. I think the best thing to do is put a wife variety of priced things. For some reason people always buy the cheapest stuff first

I'm trying to think what I've seen on lists...china sets, bedding, camping equipment...tent, sleeping bags...etc, ummmm...kitchen stuff like mixer or blender or something like that...ummmm...my cousin had a $200 trashcan on hers and I was like #######? lol oh I know people put pots and pans on there too. put a few out there expensive items and someone might get them for you!

well i starting to get into this, i saw what i would call what i would call expensive martini glasses that are really funky ($50 a glass wow) so i asked for 6

and my all time want coca cola can glasses $9.99 for 6 yay i so wanted those when they were free with maccy Ds

Vito is just registering with target (wedding registary) and it asked to make sure the person registering was over 13yrs old
