AWWWW I feel for you. I don't know how you do it. I can't really afford to go back and forth but my heart drags me. I can't go more than 6 or 8 weeks without seeing him. He doesn't have a computer so Skype is out. Although I am leaving a laptop for him this time so hopefully we can connect with skype.

Hang in there. I know your heart is hurting. Just think how wonderful it will be when he finally gets here !!

thanks hun.

if it was left to my heart i would be there every month heh... but i have a 5 y.o and an aversion to credit cards, so that makes it a bit tough lol.

honestly guys,

if it wasnt for the support here and knowedge that people are going through the same thing, i wouldve lost it long ago.

thanks

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

it is nice to know there are others out there that are going threw the same thing.

I am really glad I found this site. I have learned so much. I had no idea how complicated it can all be and I never thought it would take this long to get through VSC.

Today I had to answer those annoying questions again. I stopped in at the local supermarket ( the one where everyone knows you and has to pry into your business) How is your husband Jen? why isn't he here yet? Did you run into a problem? Will he be here by the summer do you think? OMG I wanted to scream ! Also, there are rumors going aroud in Costa Rica that my husband was approved and the Embassy has his passport already. My husband and I laugh because WE don't even know anything yet and his passport is in my nightstand ( here in the US) . I asked him who he talked to and he said NOBODY. Its just funny how people feel the need to talk ######.

I made it a point not to tell anyone about his immigration progress because I wanted to avoid the blabber mouths. I only write on VJ what I find out and my husband is the only person I tell. Alot of people know I am waiting for him but they know nothing else. When they ask , I just say we are still in process.

Hi notime4haterz

I guess you are right about the police paper, that sucks big time

I need a Dutch police clearance for my visa interview. How can I obtain this?

* Dutch police clearances acceptable for U.S. visa purposes can only be obtained for you by the American Consulate General in Amsterdam, and only for immigrant visa applicants. The Dutch conduct certificate (Verklaring omtrent het gedrag - VOG) is not acceptable and applicants should not attempt to obtain it.

* To apply for a Dutch police clearance you must provide the American consulate or embassy processing your visa application, or the National Visa Center (NVC) if the visa application was started by a petition filed in the U.S., or the Kentucky Consular Center (KCC) if a you are a DV Lottery applicant, with your:

o full names as in your passport and on your birth certificate, i.e. all first names and family name(s), maiden name and/or aliases, if any;

o gender;

o date of birth;

o city/town, and country of birth;

o and your most recent/last address in The Netherlands. (Please provide street, house number, Dutch postal code if known, and city/town, and if need be period of residence.)

This will allow the visa processing post or office to obtain the clearance for you. Please do not contact the Consulate General in Amsterdam directly. The request must be made by your visa processing consulate/embassy or NVC.

Applicants will not get a copy of the Dutch police clearance.

:star: I have his passport here because I had to make a copy for the attorney. He told me to hang on to it so it doesn't get lost. He doesn't travel so it doesn't matter. He only wants to come here. When I go back to Costa Rica for his interview I will bring it with me. :whistle:
