Time run out during I485 interview, Did that ever happen to anyone???

We hd our interview on january 22, the lady asked us a couple questions but not even finished looking my paperwork an a small alarm clock startedmaking noise an she said her time run out and we were gong to receive a new letter for a new interview. Did that ever happen to anyone???

Good heavens, that is totally unacceptable. They should have scheduled you at a time when they knew the officer had enough time to conduct a full interview. That is rude and irresponsible and totally inconsiderate (well, we already known USCIS is inconsiderate). I think if it were me I would write a letter of complaint and address it to my Senator or Congressman and ask them to investigate. You took the time to be there at the time THEY scheduled - the least they could do is be available as well when they were the ones who determined when it would be. She should have let you know before you went to all of the trouble to be there if she knew she wouldn't be able to do the interview. I'd be fuming mad.

I have never heard of this - pretty messed up.

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

That is terrible. This is the first time I have heard of this. So sorry!!!

8/02/07- NOA 1

12/13/07- NOA 2

2/12/08- Interview in Rio- APPROVED!

2/15/08- Visa Received

2/18/08- US Entry

2/20/08- Wedding Day

AOS

3/04/08- AOS, EAD and AP mailed

4/07/08- RFE

4/11/08- AOS, EAD and AP re-mailed

4/18/08- NOA's received

5/06/08- Biometrics Appt

6/14/08- AP approved

6/17/08- EAD approved

11/07/08- Greencard Approved!

11/22/08- Greencard Received

Not to be a smart ####, but I think it just means that you will unnecessarily have to go through another interview. I wouldn't read anything more into it than that. Did you ask why you could not finish the interview? I would have said that it's the first time I have ever heard of a time limit, and I'd asked why they did that.

IMO, this is just plain stupid. CIS shouldn't schedule appointments for less than at least a half hour. They must think that people don't have jobs or lives besides CIS, and that we are going to live on their schedule. IDIOTIC!

Can I ask how long you were in the interview for before it was stopped?

11/18/08 - Arrived in U.S. on B2 visa

02/05/09 - Extended return plane ticket to stay for an extra 3 months

04/23/09 - Decided we didn't want to be apart even though we extended the stay and got married!

04/30/09 - Sent I-130/I-485/I-765 from B2 (no I-693 as it is not yet complete.)

05/03/09 - Received email form USPS stating that package had arrived safely and was signed for!

05/11/09 - Received NOA1's for I-130/I-485/I-765

05/16/09 - Received Biometrics Appointment

05/30/09 - Received a CRAZY amount of RFE's that were dated 05/21/09

06/01/09 - Biometrics Appointment Scheduled. In and out in 10 minutes!! Sent off RFE information (Should arrive in MO on Wed.)

06/03/09 - USCIS received RFE response

07/23/09 - I called to have a service request put in

07/24/09 - I-765 Touched (FINALLY)

07/25/09 - I-765 CARD PRODUCTION ORDERED!!!!!!!! (About time!)

08/03/09 - EAD card came in the mail WOOHOO!!!

08/07/09 - Interview letter arrived

09/02/09 - Interview Date

09/07/09 - I think this is the day I received my Green Card.. Can't quite remember anymore.

Removal Of Conditions

08/03/11 - WOW it's already been TWO years! Sent ROC package to VSC.

08/05/11 - NOA1 date which arrived 8/10/2011

09/02/11 - Bio Appointment the notice was dated 8/12/11

01-16-09......EAD touched

01-19-09......AP touched

01-21-09......EAD touched again

01-26-09......EAD and AP received on the mail!!

01-27-09......Applied for SSN

02-03-09......SSN Received

02-24-09......Interview at 12:00 pm in San Diego !! APPROVED!!

02-28-09......Welcome Letter Received & approval for I-130!!

03-09-09.......Green card in the mail!
