Hi,

I was unaware of visa journey when I made my initial I-129F application, and what a journey this is, and didn't make a complete copy of the application. I have digital copies of the G-325 and the I-129F but some of the pictures I sent were originals as were the handwritten statements we wrote out.

We have many, many pictures etc and other evidence, so that doesn't worry me. My question is: do I need an exact copy of the packet I first sent in, or will similar statement, photos, etc. suffice?

Thanks to everyone for all your help.

I'm not sure if it is mandatory to have an exact copy.

I haven't seen anyone on the UK Interview thread mention the original I-129F being looked at during the interview.

Sorry i can't be more helpful, perhaps post this on the 2009 UK Interview thread?!

You will definitely need a copy of your NOA2 letter. I brought the entire I-129f filing to our interview and they never asked for it or looked at it, they DID ask for a copy of the NOA2.

At the USE London, they do not ask for the NOA2, so you do not need the entire I-129F packet to take along if your interview is at the USE in London. You will need NOA2 when it comes time for your AOS.

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

You don't need an EXACT copy. I think VisaJourney recommends having an exact copy because the embassy could ask for originals at the interview (which they VERY rarely do), or reference the packet at the interview. Also, it might help understand an RFE or straighten up any other kind of typographic/organizational errors.

Definitely not a requirement! Keep the evidence on hand until naturalization, but don't worry about the "exact copy".

Good luck!

The purpose of sending a copy is for the beneficiary's reference. Sounds like you've got that covered.
