What is the meaning of "Touched" that I keep seeing in some people's timelines? When I check my case online all it says is that they issued NOA1 on July 28, 2008. Could there be something wrong with my application (I-129F)? It's been almost 6 months since I received NOA1. Is it normal for me not to have heard from them since then?

there are a lot of people who havent seen a touch yet that are in the same timeframe, since it is taking on average 6.5 months to process cases and there are quite a few july and many early august fillers not approved so I wouldnt be too worried about it yet.

A 'touch' is when the bar code (assigned to your file) is wanded/scanned - this happens when they do something with your file (anything from simply counting it, to moving it, to actually reviewing it).

You can see if you're file has been touched by seeing the Last Updated date (on the USCIS website) change - each time it changes - you've been touched.

That said - touches don't necessarily mean much - many people aren't 'touched' until they actually get approved - so you might be one of those people (so yes, it might be normal). Hang in there.
