Timeline

Kim's passport will be expired in June 2009.

Anyone has experienced the Passport renewal process from VN Consulate/Embassy here in the US, please share your steps and method in detail if you could!

We just renewed Nicole's brother's passport. What a freakin nightmare. His roommates threw it away so we had no reference. It was literally a year of dealing with the Vietnamese embassy. Not fun stuff but its done now. Hers has expired too, but we are close to her citizenship so we are not going to bother with it.

17-May -04 Divorce Final. I-129F submitted to USCIS

02-July -04 NOA1

30-Aug -04 NOA2 (Approved)

13-Sept-04 NVC to HCMC

08-Oc t -04 Pack 3 received and sent

15-Dec -04 Pack 4 received.

24-Jan-05 Interview----------------Passed

28-Feb-05 Visa Issued

06-Mar-05 ----Nicole is here!!EVERYBODY DANCE!

10-Mar-05 --US Marriage

01-Nov-05 -AOS complete

14-Nov-07 -10 year green card approved

12-Mar-09 Citizenship Oath Montebello, CA

May '04- Mar '09! The 5 year journey is complete!

Leggs, thanks for the response, I found that document awhile back. However, there is no where it says "HOW MUCH", both my wife and I either missed that information or it's just not there.

Calling is definitely the best bet. I emailed the SF Consulate last year and got a respoonse 4 months later. Tried again 2 months ago. Still waiting.

I read your post, thank you for that. My question for them is the current fee for a tourist visa. It says $25 on the .pdf, but I paid more than that last year so I'm wondering if that is accurate. We have had a discussion on this site before on the changing fees for a visa. On person paid one price at the Embassy, while another paid less at the Consulate.
