:crying:

Good morning everyone at VJ,

I've been reading on this forum for a while but never tried to register or post anything, but today I really need to post something here.

USCIS just updated VSC's processing time.

https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/processTimesDis...e=serviceCenter

For I-751, now they are only processing 1/27/2008. That means they're giving us an official announcement for the 1 year wait, although we already knew by reading other VJers experience or timeline. If we have to wait for a year, we can file for N400 already, that's not fair for people who have to deal with VSC because CSC only take 3-5 months. They increased the price, took the money and work even slower. Does this make sense to anybody?

The last time they update the time was on September 30, 2008 and they were processing December 30, 2007, so the wait just delayed from 9 months to 1 year. What is this non-sense?

Sorry guys! Just needed a place to vent! I think a lot of us are on the same boat.

I agree it is totally unfair and ridiculous! They raised the rates and nothing improved, in fact it got worse! :ranting: One year is totally ridiculous and unbelievable.

On an interesting note, I remember when we were doing K1, Vermont Service Center was giving approvals in 2 weeks, whereas us in California had to wait 4-5 months to get the NOA2 approval. I used to wish we were filing from VSC! Now that we will do Removing Conditions in a few months, I'm glad to be in CA.

VSC may be working on March - I haven't seen any March VJers yet approved - but they are also still working on December, January and February files that are still waiting for approval. First come first served? HAH!

Hey guys, We need to take a deep breath here and remember that the reason why VSC might be so back because the handel most of the Eastern states which are densly populated with Immigrants, yes Califorina has many immigrants but think about the surronding states, they are empty, or most of them are anyway, how many people apply for removing conditions from Utah, or Montana.

Yeah I do live in new hampshire which doesnt have many immigrants, but let's look at all the eastern states with high concetration, Mass, New york, Connecticut, Texas, California, etc........

I don't like it as much as the other guy, but these guys do work hard, I worked for a pizza place in Portsmouth NH, the same place where the National Visa centre is, and these people we working until 10 at night because they were ordering food that late. they added a new facility so they are doing something,

I guess all we can do is wait.

Thanks

"For I-751, now they are only processing 1/27/2008"

Ok, I'm just not following this. You need to submit the I-751 no sooner than 3 months before the 2 year greencard actually expires but yet they're only processing up to 1/27/2008??? Anyone else see something wrong with this picture? Ok, here it is 2/05/2009, what happens to their status when the 2 year greencard expires but yet you had submitted the I-751 in a timely fashion? Is there going to be a big roundup by the INS going after those that aren't current?

Someone PLEASE tell me that they're processing for 1/27/2009 and NOT for 1/27/2008 on the I-751 applicants. I'll gladly go to work for immigrations if President Obama opens more slots and creates jobs there, this department has a need for more employees.

Your eyes are reading it correctly. It's 2008. The infamous VSC, no way they're doing 2009. They're known for being slow. They wanted us to apply on time, but they don't turn around to process it on time for us and we're paying them so much money. They increased the fee but we don't see they're working any faster. They sound like true hypocrite, don't they?

Honestly, other than being patiently waiting, I don't know what else we can do. Let just hope that they're reading this forum and realize that how incompetent they are.

Ok, so let's say that the I-751 gets submitted 3 months out of the expiration date. Does the VSC send out an extension on the current 2 year greencard or are we just in limbo? After all we are all legally married, some of us expecting the due date of our baby's birth (mine and my sweet Qiuxiang's), only seems fair that they issue and grant an extension until the I-751 gets processed and approved. Heck, in the packet that I submitted I even invited them to dinner at our home, this might turn into inviting them to the baby shower.

Also, I submitted and they received the I-751 packet January 30, 2009, am I suppose to get a NOA on the I-751? It has been 4 business days, I might be asking this prematurely but I believe that I have seen NOA's dating fewer days than that. Where do I go to check on an NOA or a number relating to the I-751?

Thank you,

Keith and Qiuxiang
