Hey guys!! just thought id ask is there such thing as Military expidite? And if so, how does this thing works? thanks...

My fiance was deployed so we called the military line and request for expedite. They said they were going to send us and email with further information but they never did. So after 3 weeks of waiting we just sent them a fax with a cover letter, a letter from my fiance stating the reason of the expedite request, a letter from his commander just confirming he was on deployment and that they couldn't obtain original orders at that time) and copy of his ID. It worked for us I hope the same to u! =)

We already sent our paperwork to California and received NOA1 but my fiance isnt sure anymore if he put a copy of his deployment orders in there too. And we didnt have a letter or anything from his commander. Can we still sent it in?

By the way he is still deployed.

Sending his deployments order with the petition is not doing anything if u wanna apply for expedite. You need to make ethe request after you get your NOA1 ! =))

Ok. so since we already have our NOA 1 we will give it a try. Maybe it works. All we can do is try. So i tell my fiancee to write them a letter to apply for expedite, put his orders in there and maybe a letter from his commander. Thank you for your help.

Sorry having to ask again.

Does he have to apply for expedite first by writing a letter?

Or does it make sense to send the letter applying for expedite, his deployment orders and a statement from his commander all together?

Hey guys!! just thought id ask is there such thing as Military expidite? And if so, how does this thing works? thanks...

The soldier does NOT have to have deployment orders or does NOT have to be deployed in order to receive a military expedite.

Expedite requests have been granted in between deployments as well (in which case, a letter from the CO would help).

See the thread in the IR-1/CR-1 forum for more info on this.

yes the soilder does...if there was no REASON for the expidite then there wouldnt be one.

That is incorrect.

Expedites in between deployments are being granted at CIS, NVC and Embassy level. Since in that case there are no deployment orders, a letter of the CO can be used to back up the request.
