Hi everyone!

Isa and I met about two years ago while Isa was on a Cultural Care Au Pair exchange program to America. We met at Uno's in Cambridge, Massachusetts near Boston. We stayed in Boston for the first year of our relationship. Isa had to go back to Germany because her visa was up, but I came out to Germany, after a month of separation, to meet and greet the parents and to see Germany for the first time. Upon my return to the states I moved across the country to Seattle where Isa joined me a month later. After dating for a year and a half and falling head over heals in love with her, I proposed to her on November 14th 2008... and she accepted!

Our journey through the piles of paperwork and the process with USCIS began on December 4th, after gathering all the documents, I sent off the I129F packet. It wasn't until January that I received the NOA1 from the California Processing Center, but that also could be blamed on the weather out here and the holidays in-between. Right now we are waiting for USCIS to process our paperwork and send us the NOA2 along with the packet.

Isa left to go back to Germany November 16th 2008, two days after I proposed to her. It's been over 2 months since I've seen her and it hurts to think that we are merely just some number stuck in the cogs of a bureaucratic nightmare. I'm 27 years old and I have never been married, I have no kids, and Isa and I are madly in love yet there is nothing we can do to just be together.

Anyways, enough on the depressing mindless ramble on the inadequacies of the system... on the bright side of things I get to look forward to spending the rest of my life with a beautiful and lovely woman that I love dearly!
