Sorry honey, I was away from the computer when you posted this.

Just for being late in my congratulations, here is another dance:

It reminds me of our jumping through hoops to get through VSC!!!

Thank you Narina..I can still feel the pain of being not approved...

I would suggest everyone expecting an approval to talk to supervisor....

One way is that to say a case number to the rep which would be a wrong ...and ask for supervisor...when u get one somehow, give them the real case number and ask for its status......

very happy news, Sonia. congratz! and yes, that's the way. talk to someone there. we have case complete at NVC, and still didn't get the NOA2 hard copy. so u can't completely count on it. and the email notification/status updated on USCIS site came 3 days after the actual approval. ofc in those 3 days i was complaining in here, having no idea we were already approved.

enjoy life,

Andreea

Hello everyone....I think I got an approval, my husband called USCIS and talked to a supervisor and been conveyed that both of our cases....then he called me and let me on the third line and called USCIS, first rep was telling generic info on webpage, he was like ok I was told I was approved...then he was transfered to super, that super said both of our files were approved 2 days back which is 19th....

My hubby have not got the hardcopy of NOA2 yet...neither our status changed over net....this is what supervisor said in two different times....

Please pray for us....

Hi again Sonia,

Our Senetor's office has been checking into our case for us and he just got a response back from VSC today. They told him we were approved 2 days ago! So I think that would make us the 20th! Our online stuff has not been updated yet either, nor did we get any emails! But if it is true I am going to be so so happy! It's a funny situation to be in because you're happy but afraid to be happy!

Congratulations Sonia!!!

It's so great to see approvals here!!

Today i cried and cried...i just wanna gooooo, like everybody else here. And when i read your post, it made me happy!! I know my day is coming!!!!!

Congratulations!!! Soon you're going to be with your love!!!!!!!!!

You know what, it was 4:30 in the morning and my hubby called and said me that we were approved...and I was like, I don't believe... he then called USCIS and the rep started reading the webpage which is not been updated for ages, then he was like .. I was told that we were approved..then rep replied " Who said u that?" meanwhile, I was a bit annoyed as I was in deep sleep and my hubby was joking with my approval??? then He asked for a higher authority and he directly said, "u don't get the update info, transfer my call"---my hubby sounded normal as he knew what was goin on....then when the super said that both of our petitions were approved 2 days back (on january 19th--said by the first supervisor when my hubby was calling for regular enquiry) ...I cried like baby...I wish I could hug my hubby and cried...It felt like, I had 10 stone pressure on my heart and it just released.....

Friends...I never knew that, getting approval means such a heppiness...I am happy to be approved though I know that fact that I am only half way done, but atleast I am out of VSC....thats a gr8 relief itself....

More approvals are coming...Cross ur fingers....and pray to God....

Congratulations, Sonia! I am happy for you. Hope my approval will be next month, because I filed in July 2008. Good luck with your NVC speedy process and many happiness in your life.

Sonia, it took a while to get our NOA2's in the mail too :D

"you fondle my trigger then you blame my gun"

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!
