I can't bring myself to watch the remakes. Clouseau for me will always be Peter Sellers

Oh, that's the one I was referring to. Peter Sellers was the man.

I keep seeing these ads for the remakes with Martin as Clouseau - his fake french accent just doesn't work for me and that pathetic line "I will bring you up to speed. Nothing happened. Now you are up to speed". I mean, what?

Yeah, I haven't seen Martin's version but the segments I've seen are painful to watch. For one, he's not known for physical comedy. Remember the Pink Panther movie where he plays the violin in bed? My dad would have tears rolling down his cheeks from laughing so hard.

 Indeed, so much of it is visual and borderline slapstick. The fighting scenes with Cato were pure genius too. Yeah, I remember watching, I think it was 'Shot in the Dark' with a school friend, and in the end I had to leave the room because I was laughing so hard I felt ill! Great stuff, I hope it never really feels dated, at least not to me anyway :)

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

I've been wanting to watch them over again. I need a good laugh.

the question is.... why does everything the President do gives you a rash dude? You surely have way more relevant things to do with your time than agonize over a public officer swearing over a Catholic BOOK, right?

Its ok sister, no need to argue with him, nothing he can do or say to change the fact that we have the right person in office

So Help Me God, is also not a part of the oath, but also said, Johnson used a Roman Catholic missal, basically a pray book, because that is all they could find at the sudden death of JFK. Nothing in the constitution says you have to use a bible, if there is, quote it. The act of using what some consider a sacred object can even be a sacrilege by some people. This is an oath to the office and the people of the United States of America where it is also a part of the constitution to separate religion from state.

So what's your point?

It's another sign the man is the Anti-Christ.

He used Lincoln's Bible during the public ceremony and then swore upon Audacity of Hope the second time around. We all know how lucky that Bible was for Lincoln at least until Ford's Theater.

Is this more Alien humour? It could be funny - but, it's just not. The reason it's not funny is because Obama is not the one who portrays himself as the Messiah - where he to, well, we might have had a winner...

Kaydee,

Your obsession with every step Obama takes reminds me of inspector Clouseau's former boss goes insane. He has an uncontrollable twitch in his eye and a maniacal laugh...and all he says is, "Clouseau, Clouseau!" Your behavior is quite scary.

Perhaps Kaydee spends his free hours writhing around in a straight jacket, scrawling on the walls of his padded cell with crayons wedged between his toes (between bouts of terrifying hallucinations involving cartoon characters).

Hey, just discussing what the MSM is reporting tonight....Seems quite a ** up on their part given they screwed it up the first time....Now, they did it again- worse so! Perhaps there was another book somewhere nearby but out of view?

I dunno.

What book would that be?

The Communist Manifesto?

A Spiderman graphic novel?

Dreams From My Father?

First off, it was Roberts that screwed up, not Obama, and that cannot be denied, even I saw him screw up. Second it was Obama that wanted it corrected, again not Roberts. I Roberts was worth a damn, would have brought a bible along with him, was is job to recite the oath.

If it were the other way around, then picking on Obama would be well justified, just shows what idiots we have on this board.

What, Afcionado didn't reach you? You sure got a black eye in that thread but here you are repeating the very same behavior all ovr again! One would think you would have learned something....

BTW, how is it that you can spend 18+ hours/day on this forum and still earn a living supposedly writing for a living and having a partnership with your spouse?
