Meanwhile, some people in the real world have to reconcile some very difficult situations and for most parents there is no right answer and no solution is without it's down side.

Refusing to use the spellchick!

I have put you on ignore. No really, I have, but you are still ruining my enjoyment of this site. .

Ah, speculation, speculation BY.

You see, once us 'libruls' start thinking, we're really very good at problem solving, aren't we?

I hope that is not aimed at me. I have never spelled it that way.

Leave the problem solving to us Engineers love. ;) You guys can go back to discussing history and how evil  the "Colonial Americans" were.

According to the Internal Revenue Service, the 400 richest American households earned a total of $US138 billion, up from $US105 billion a year earlier. That's an average of $US345 million each, on which they paid a tax rate of just 16.6 per cent.

Yes, because us 'libruls' are incapable of thinking about more than one thing at a time and discussing history precludes any other activity. Unlike you engineers (not quite sure why you feel engineer requires capitalisation ) who are renowned as political thinkers.

What kind of work do you do, BY? Engineering is a pretty broad label.

wow, another lets bash parents thread?

and OP, you dont need to expect anything from parents, what is done outside of your house, is none of your business, and certainly no parent cares what you expect of them.

I think this was either some attempt at forum bating, troll style, or this person is affected directly by a decision made by an ex.

There are many people on VJ who have had to leave family behind, including children and grandchildren. Until you have been in the situation they are in or have been in you can not say what you would or would not do.

My late wife left her 2 children back in Scotland, her son is 26 years old and has a child of his own and her daughter is 23 years old, yes they are adults but they still need their mom. They both encouraged Kez to marry me and remain in the US because they were able to see that it made their mom happy.

No one here should judge other by their actions unless you know the full facts about that persons life and why they made the desissions they did. I have seen families where the children would be much better off if one of their parents where not living with them. I have also seen cases where parents who do live with their children so they can have a stable home spend so much time doing their own thing that the children would be better off without either of them.

Would you judge a Father or Mother who has to work in another state so that the family can have all the things that they want or need? Most parents do the best they can and that is all anyone can expect.

I could not agree more. Let he that have no sin cast the 1st stone. No one knows what goes on in other people lives if they are not apart of it. So, to come here and judge someone b/c they have made a choice in their own lives is crazy. Like many have said sometimes it's better for 1 parent to leave the household rather than subject/inject a child with negative in life.
