A question from The Young Lady. She has heard there is a document that proves the emigrant has never married. I have never seen word of this document, but she has been cautioned (by Thai native who has not come to the US) that it is needed. I say that since it is never mentioned here, it is not needed. What say Them What Knows?

Hi Jim

I dont' think your young lady need that kind of document. Because she has never been married. I might be wrong but someone here will know more about this.

Good luck

Well i am not up to date on thia laws but i do know that the embassy in the philippines requires a document called a CENOMAR (certificate of no marriage). My fiancee had to get that from One of the govt. agency's there, she will need that when its time for her interview in the embassy in manila.

Maybe you should go to the thia embassy web site and see if that is required for her interview also.

As long as her Thai ID card does not say Mrs. she will not need the "single certificate". An ID card will usually be changed from Miss to Mrs if 1) she is or has ever been married, even if she is now divorced, or 2) if she has children. She can obtain the "single certificate" from her local Amphur.
