been there, done that. it got so bad, that i literally begin to know all the showtimes, whats playing, etc. but i cut a deal with her - for every indian movie we watch, we get to watch an american movie - and not some chic flick, but whatever I WANT TO WATCH - that's the price to pay for suffering through 3 hours of singing and dancing.

Did you ever get her to sit through Syriana?

ahh, that one eluded us......we went but it was too late or something, so we ended up watching something else. but close! atleast she agreed!!

I'm sorry, but I really can't stand Hirsi Ali. The only thing she does is rant about muslims and the Islam, due to her past. She doesn't actually listen to them. When she's on tv in a debate with other women who are muslim she never let's them finish, she keeps saying they are wrong and she is right and doesn't even try to see their side of the story. She keeps provoking people and then plays the -people have to feel sorry for me- card if it doesn't turn into the direction she would have liked it to turn into.

The only thing she does is rant about muslims and the Islam, due to her past. She doesn't actually listen to them.

She's listened to them. For many, many years. She dared not to listen once as a child - that earned her a beating by the Imam that left her unconscious and with a fractured scull. Other Imams have put her on a hit-list. She went into hiding and now lives under 24/day protection as her life is in danger by radical Muslims for nothing but speaking her mind. I am not aware of any Muslim standing up for her - if for nothing else so at least for her right to live. Can you really blame her for being as outspoken against a religion that has done and is continuing to do her nothing but wrong?

Ask yourself: Would you be tolerant and understanding towards those that seek to put your lights out?

Following the recent disgusting demonstrations in London a prominant Muslim gentleman and an Iman were on one of the talk shows, and if you want to know about "not letting anybody else get a word in" you should have heard those two. Arrogant and rude is the only terms you could use for them certainly not couragous as this lady so obviously is. And as ET-US says, would you be tolerant and understanding when someone wants to lop your head of or string you from the nearest post and burn you to death!!! get real

You guys have your opinion and I've got mine. Seen her on tv many, many times over here in the Netherlands and read lots about her too. Some of the things she says make sence, but most don't in my eyes.
