You need to send back Part 1 and Part 2 of the DS-230 - Part 1 needs your signature on it before it is sent to NVC.

Part 2 of the DS-230 will be signed at the interview.

Also, since the DS-230 is your visa application, it needs to be signed by you.

You need to act as quickly as possible. Send everything they require to your spouse , then your spouse can send all these things to NVC. It is very safe to do so, because sometimes documents sent from overseas may get lost, so it is safe to send all these things to your spouse by DHL.

Also it is a good idea to send original documents to NVC (translated and notarized ), some ppl got in trouble as NVC requested original documents, which will delay the whole process generally.

Hope the info will be helpful for you. Once you sign DS-230 , make a copy of that and keep it for you-just in case.

Good luck

Actually it's not only a good idea but a requirement by the NVC, all documents need to be either originals or certified. No photocopies are accepted.

Yes , they say copies( certified) but once ppl send copies than they say originals. So it is better to send originals not to make the lengthy process delayed. That's what I meant. I sent originals , as well as police certificate, but as far as I know police cert. is valid only for 2 months, so it is expired by now, but I haven't received any calls from the embassy to update my police certificate, but still I will take a new one. Is that a good idea? How do you think ?Anyone experienced in this field?
