The process went smoothly for us, with the only exception of having our petition returned after almost two months because of problems with the address on the check (my now-husband had used a check that showed his old address, which of course was different from the one on the petition). Unfortunately, because of that we had to file again, and got stuck in the slow-down due to USCIS being flooded with work visa petitions. We waited over four months for approval, and the summer months were excruciating. I'd almost convinced myself they were going to deny us (though there were NO reasons whatsoever!), or at least that we would have to wait heaven knows how long before approval. So, you see, I can understand your feelings all too well...

However, once we got our NOA2, everything went perfectly, and on October 8 I had my visa in hand. Now I'm here, in our home (still filled with boxes containing my stuff), and about to file for AoS. Last year was not a picnic for either of us, that's for sure, but that makes us appreciate what we have now even more.
