No problem Byron and glad to help if I am able. Just because you are going for the K3 does not mean it will be easier. You do knlow now what is expected though and seem to be doing what is needed. It sounded like the embassy had some misgivings about how was introduced. They asked about them and the fiance misunderstodd as the consulate interviewer from that point and they decided to deny. It seems that now that you both know what needs done.

Not really too long ago they had some pretty high profile fraud rings running out of the west coast and involving this consulate. It had to do with pay for visa type stuff. This consulate has been very hard on all since then and you both got caught up in it. We all have had a lot of hard times here and thankfully this forum has been here for us to chat and get details. Trust me I would probably have been denied too if I did not know as much as I have learned beforehand. I am a bit too easy and expect everything to be ok type of person. After I found out how hard they were I made sure I had way more proof than they needed.

I personally think you and her can get a K1 next time but make sure all the stuff is up to snuff this time. Make a timeline of relationship that will pass scrutiny and since you know they have qualms about the introduction get the ducks in a row on that. prep her on the interview till she can ace it and then I see no probs. If you do the K3 then you will still have to do all this anyway but K3's take longer. You going back to see her will say a lot about more relationship. Also bring a camera and take tons of pics of each other on different days and places.

I am not saying what uis best for you at all but feel that everything will be ok The past is the past and no reason that the future will not be better. Misunderstandings can become understandings if all know what is needed and do it.

Really? Seems like they are taking the same amount of time at the California Service Center.

The marriage in Vietnam can be problematic, but it can be accomplished in less than a month. I know this for a fact because we did it. 3 weeks after I hit the ground we had the certificate. Our trick? When we started bickering at each other in the interview they started laughing and said we must be in love.

My boss said he would only give me 2 weeks off I was hoping I could wear him down and talk him into 3 weeks during a holiday or something like that but he didn't budge. If I go there 2 times for 2 weeks each time then it should be no problem.

Did you get the interview before or after the wedding? Im not sure how this will go down im leaving it up to her and mr Nam but from my understanding her sister will pick a date that is good for us something with an 8 in it for good luck as they are Chinese.
