In order to get a visitor's visa to the US, he has to prove "ties" to JA and intent to return - So a substantial amount of money in the bank, owning property in his name alone, his own business, having kids, etc.... It's not easy - read through some of the embassy experiences and you will see comments on how many people were there applying for a visitor visa - It's a ####### shoot - There is no set criteria, it's solely at the discretion of the officer.

Exactly and not to be a downer, you can have all that and then SOME and still get turned down. I have friends and family who had all that and didn't get through and I also have family members who did'nt have as much and got their visitor's visa. I don't know how they decided. I'm also guess it's how well you interview.

....when it hurts to look back and you're scared to look ahead LOOK beside you and I'll be there.....

There comes a point in your life when you realize who matters, who never did, who won't anymore... and who always will.

So, don't worry about people from your past, there's a reason why they didn't make it to your future.

sus, I have only been here since morning but I like you spirit B)

I never ridiculed anyone, but I did wonder why they chose to take on such a journey. The road is not easy from what I understand...

What I did not understand was how if you really love someone, there is no road too rocky...

Nice line - Welcome JAPrincess

This place is a LOT more open minded than where I come from on the WWW ;)

If you are lurking on JA boards, I am sure we can guess which one -

Come on down to the Yardies - don't try to keep up, just jump into the conversation - it's a typical JA party - a million topics at once

Lurking? I hate lurkers :bonk:

lol a joke...

But I am sure you can guess which site anyway

Just don't tell them I'm here :innocent:

At the top of the page under reviews you will find embassy specific reviews -

I think (and could be wrong) that part of what helped RG to get the visitor visa is bc he had already left the country and come back in the past -
