G325a question

It is required that I send a passport type photo along with the G325a forms.

My question is what is required on the reverse of the photo?

Initially when I got the photos done, the photographer stamped the back with the current date (no it has been passed 30days from the photo), as I read along through these forums I find contradicting information. Should I just print the Name and date on the reverse side, should it be in pencil or felt-tip pen (I remember once seeing that the felt tip pen was rejected and was advised to use pencil)?

Also I am unable to find the g325a guide to assist as I need to get more photos again.

1. There is not G325a guide. Us the one for your visa category.

2. The passport photo's are provided in support of the petition, not in support of the G325a.

3. Follow USCIS instructions for what and with what to write on the back of the pictures. It's in the petition instructions.

Children don't need G325a forms, but they do need passport pictures.

Nope. I was going by memory, knowing I submitted one for my step-daughter. However, like the G325a, the picture is not listed under documents needed for a step-child. Only the birth certificate showing the relationship to the USC's foreign spouse is required. Sorry.

They say the second thing you lose when you get old is your memory!

You've mentioned that the photo is not part of the G325a, but it should follow (I understand this and just adding the photo as I want to make sure everything is submitted, even if it is more). My initial question of what is required on the back of the photo; I am unable to find the answer, that is why I have posted this question. The photo will be a photo of me following a G325a for me to be added to each of the kids petitions.

The place where I got the initial photo stamped the back with a guarantor dated signature stamp, which from what I understand is not required.

So my questions still stand...

Pencil or Felt Tip Pen?

Date and name, or just name?

taj'samericanwife - sounds like you are in the same situation as I. And yes, I will be submitting 4 Petitions (I130s) at the same time, One for my wife and one for each of my 3 kids (get's expensive when you have a larger family). Thanks and good luck.

Thanks!

Al

I would use felt tip pen so as not to accidently leave a "crease" on the photo

I would just name it rather than name/date

YMMV

Yes and very lightly, so the name doesn't show through to the other side. Even light pencil is ok.

Because the photo requirement is mentioned next on the list after the G325a, it is logical to place it in that order. It deserves its own line in the table of contents included in the cover letter.

I put my photos in a labelled ziploc baggie and taped the bag to a blank page. I thought that might be a bit more secure than a paper clip. Good luck.
