Hello! My name is Sara and im from the US, and me and my fiancee Micahel from the UK have filled for the Fiancee visa. We have been waiting now for 5 months since our first Notification and are starting to get nervous about the steps to come since hopefully we will be earring something soon!!

My main concern is the medical exam. My fiancee was hosplitized for anxiety about two years back. He also has a history of using drugs. He has fully recovered and has not had any issues for a long time, and on his record it only shows that he was treated for anxitey, and hasnt touched any drugs for years. But I am just so terrified that this will cause him to fail his medical exam and in case cause them to deny our visa!!

Does anyone have any experience with failed medicals? Or know if this is gonna be an issue for us!? Any advice would be amazing!! Thanks so much!

I posted this over in your thread in the UK forum too.

Drug use is a bit of an iffy subject. If he admits to it then it can be reason for denial. If he doesn't and they find out he lied then that is another reason for denial. Basically do as much research as you can then make your own choice about what you will do.

So they do a blood text and chest x-ray, anything else? :-)

Does anyone know if he would have to check the box that asks Use of drugs other then required for medical reasons, or Addicition or abuse of specific substance since he has used anything in years?

The truth?

My Advice is usually based on "Worst Case Scenario" and what is written in the rules/laws/instructions. That is the way I roll... -Protect your Status - file before your I-94 expires.
