Hello everyone! This is my first post  although I have been browsing on this site for about a week now.

Foremost I just want to say that I find it extremely gratifying to see everyone here, with knowledge or experience, helping out those of us who are trying to make this happen.

I haven't made a time-line yet, mostly because I wouldnt have much to put on it at this point. I have just started the I-129 packet and told my soon to be fiance what she needs to do and fill out to complete the packet. This February she is expected to come to the US to visit. While she is here we are going to try to complete everything that is needed for the I-129 packet and we are going to arrange an appointment with an immigrant attorney to double-check the paper work.

My question is this:

I noticed that on question #12 on the I-129 from it asks "if your fiancee is currently in the US". Would it delay or complicate the process if we mail in the packet while she is here? Also, what exactly is the I-94 file/number about and how do we fill out question #12? She is Irish (from Ireland) would not be traveling from Canada or Mexico so does it even apply?

Also, are there any limitations to see each other (travel back from US and Ireland) while we are going through this whole process? Thank you again everyone's input, I can't even begin to say how beneficial this site has been so far. Josh

It neither delays nor complicates the process if your fiance is in the US legally when you send the package. I was in the states when we sent the envelope and was approved in average time. You just fill in that section of the form.

Your fiance can visit during the process. But she needs to show proof of ties to her country(rent agreement, mortgage, letter from work etc.) to prove to the immigration person that she isn't trying to immigrate on this trip. I made 1 trip mid K1, and was so nervous but had no problems. I was nice to go through pre-immigration in Dublin though.

your second question is a FAQ, check out FAQs and watch the forums for more specific experiences.

The I-94 number is the number on the green card that they will staple to her passport when she travels on a VWP.

We did exactly what u are gunna do. I was there in April while we completed the forms set off two days or so after I left for home. Visited attorney for a free chat and all that. We wrote down my number from my green thing (I-194) that was still stapled in my passport till I left. Look at our story in profile and our timeline if u are interested. It was even questioned at the interview that I-129f coincided with April visit or what I wrote it on petition papers. Though I was honest and mentioned I was there in April. As for getting noa2 who knows what goes on behind those closed doors we were not the quickest nor the slowest and didn't get an rfe.
