If anyone else wants to be added to the sheet let me know. What does everyone think would be a reasonable cut-off date. I don't mind adding new approvals but wonder what time frame would be most helpful for tracking progress.

Hello all... I'm a lurker but have learnt a lot through this site! I think I shall be one of the slower ones out of the NVC... I got started on those Police Certis quite late!

DS-3032 generated today. Info received from NVC operator. I emailed my response and will mail hard copy tomorrow am.

Called NVC yesterday night (1/29) and few attempts got to the operator. They had just received our case - so we got our case number. Will make a email template and generate barcode with that in the meantime, but i don't expect a DS3032 to be generated at least till monday.

Situation: Total 3 family member (Husband, Spouse, Chil). Sponsoring father and mother, so filed separate I 130 application both got approved now time to file

I 864. I will send two separate I 864 forms for my father and mother (as separate application) in one packet. Now how do I count number of people? This is our first sponsorship

Let’s say if I filled my mother first then she will be 4th person. Or if I filed my father first he will 4th.

So how do I count? should I count as (4th and 5th) or (4th and 4th)person at our family. As I don't know how they will look at this!

Can any one please shade alight on this.

I thought I posted already but I dont see it anymore.

My case number was assigned on 01/29/2009. I just e-mailed the DS 3032 (not sure if too early?) and not sure when to expect it in the mail? Should I expect it in the mail or just print it from their website and mail in, even if I already submitted it by e-mail?

I updated, it should show correctly once it refreshes.

I think you are supposed to wait until the DS-3032 is generated before emailing or sending in the hard copy. I wouldn't worry about the email if you have already sent it. They might just reply that it hasn't been generated yet and you can resend it once it has been. You can print the DS-3032 from their website and prepare your own bar-code to be pasted on (follow the LingChe guide) and send in the hard copy rather than waiting for it in the mail.

Sorry can't help with the I-864 ;I'm really not sure what the correct answer is. Just keep bumping your other thread and I am sure someone with more experience will come along to help.

Also, not sure how to deal with IRS/tax issues when my husband is a disabled and honorably discharged veteran with pension (no tax; unemployable). He does have papers to prove his status though I don't know if NVC would understand that doesn't require IRS stuff.

How do you fill out the date fields in the forms with "Present" when they accept only numbers?

Also, how does the barcode work? The site won't load here. Do we generate that ourselves at that site or will we get one if we wait for it?
