Have a question.

if I paid a fine for overstaying a visa for 1 day, does it count as a charge or offense? Should I mention it in the DS-230 part 2? I was making a land exit to renew my visa but the group arrived at the border a few hours into the next day.

Nevertheless, I have a clean record and provided my PCCs to the NVC. What can you advise? I am a little worried but my husband says there's nothing to worry about and I don't have to mention it. He says they refer to actual charges and arrests. I only paid a fine at immigration police. But still, I worry.

I would agree with your husband. If it comes up at the interview you can explain but I really doubt it will have any effect at all.

My first extension here in the Philippines i was late 5 days and all they did was charge me 1000 pesos (20.00 US) and there was no negative effect to it. I don't know if it is the same where you are but usually it is no big deal just pay the fine and pay for the extension.

We received a surprising good news from embassy in Lithuania. Starting april 6th, they no longer send lithuanian applicants to Warsaw, Poland, but instead do the interview in Vilnius, Lithuania. We contacted the embassy here and they agreed to transfer the interview to Vilnius. First it was planned to be in Poland on 20th of April, but now it is being rescheduled for the second week in April in Lithuania. Yiipiii. If there are any more lithuanian applicants, you should contact the embassy!

We received a RFE in our AOS package...my husband sent 2008 tax returns, but i guess they are not complete...anyway, he called and spoke with a live operator who told my husband must send his 2008 tax returns, nothing else, not new form neither 2005 tax returns as the checklist letter says....so, we are still waiting to get Case complete....

I wonder if you know this...when i call NVC the AVR says they are waiting for the Petitioner Biographic Information....i dont know what that means...my husband sent AOS and IV bill package the last Thuesday.

Well the Petitioner Biographic Info is your DS-230 (IV) package. If your husband only sent the IV Bill and not the actual DS-230 with your birth cert, marriage cert, police forms, etc. then that is what they are waiting on.
