Hubby is going over forms AGAIN. Making sure it's all right. He'd pay now but it's the weekend and he doesn't want to do bank transfers on a weekend (not a good thing depending on your bank).

AO how close are you to being complete at NVC seems you and my wife are in the same time frame (waiting for case complete)? Maybe you will have medical and interview same time. We are expecting to do her medical probably late march if she gets an early April interview date.

You're several weeks ahead of me. We were delayed because of my PCC and certain documents we needed on my husband's end. We're going to pay the AOS and IV bills this Monday. I don't know if they schedule people at about the same time if they get "case complete" within weeks of each other. But I'm hoping for an interview date for us maybe July, or August at the latest.

I do hope you get yours soon. My husband is able to visit me and stay with me even in spite of problems at home and his mom needing us there. I think we have it easier than most couples who are going through this away from each other. I know how hard that is, believe me. Went through that too.

Well, we'll never make the record for the NVC shortcut for sure. But we're going over the forms very carefully so once we send the packages it's for sure. :) I'm so thankful for this forum and all the wonderful members here!

Good luck!

I know what you mean, it has been a blessing for us that i am retired and been able to stay with my wife while working on the visa. The visitor visa fees get expensive for the extensions but it well worth it to live as a couple while we are waiting this process through. I know many are not blessed with this option. Well if you are paying the fees Monday still a chance you can make an April interview if your packages are ready to send right away.

Hello Everyone...I think I am in a problem....last night when we called at NVC, an operator was saying that they have received our I864 but they r yet to receive our DS230 packet which we actually sent on wednessday and NVC received it on Friday. And today, the AVR is saying " NVC is now waiting for the biographic forms to be returned from the petitioner....." Has anyone faced this problem?

We are really worried...NVC is off till monday....this two days gonna be really hard for us...

Thanks

Sonia

Try not to worry. The AVR is generally a day behind. In addition, the packet may have been received by NVC on Friday but not scanned into their system yet. Call and speak to an operator on Monday. I am sure everything will be fine. Good luck.

I this its just timing between the NVC looking at your file, and the DS-230 being scanned and added to your file. Call monday morning and ask what the status of your case is. If you don't get a good answer ask to speak to a supervisor.

Mailing I-864 today, is it a problem if I havent received the packet in the mail? I put together the cover sheet and required documents and printed the cover letter...this is enough right? I dont need to have received the packet, although I do wonder where it is.

We paid both fees on the same day and I received the IV fee bill packet on Sunday...I'm guessing maybe the other packets are on their way?

No you dont have to wait for the actual packet to arrive, If you have the fees paid and are able to print the cover sheets then yes you can download the forms and send the packets with all required documents.

Did you guys put your case number on everypage you sent in? I've heard of ppl getting rubber stamps made with the case number, name etc just to make sure none of the pages get lost. I just ran it through the copier so that it shows on the backside of the page with case number, beneficiary name, and petitioner name. Hope thats okay.
