So, considering above situation....I feel like most of us will not get interview dates in March (not even in Late march and early April....)

Any comment?

Sonia

Yes, I would agree that we are probably looking at mid-April. Maybe early April if we complete by the end of next week, but unfortunately I'm thinking March is not too realistic.

I'll be more than happy with a "CASE COMPLETED" One more hurdle crossed.

Sorry for starting another thread. I'll just post here to avoid cluttering the forum.

Called NVC today. We got our case number from AVR. Said it was put into system Feb 2, 2009. Allow 6-8 weeks for notice to get to beneficiary (!). Later we called again and talked to an operator. He said our AOS was sent today and that we can e-mail the DS-3032. He said our IIN will be in the notice mail. Of course, we'll try to get it anyway.

Questions:

- What justifications/excuses can you suggest so we can get the IIN?? Family emergency? Hubby will get a heart attack from visa app stress? :D Something?

- Do we just mail the DS-3032 by e-mail now? I'm confused about something. Do they accept the DS-3032 first and then generate the IV fee bill? Or is it they accept DS-3032 and then generate the AOS fee bill?

- Do we put the NVC case number in the barcode generator's "Data to encrypt"? Doesn't say if it's NVC or CIS number. But I'm thinking the NVC.

Operator recognized me and got annoyed at my repeated questions about the IIN. *sigh* I think I'll call on another hour. How long are the NVC folks on duty? Are they on 8 hour shifts?

Hello

I'm confused, how did you email your DS-3032 without receiving your IIN and the package in the mail?

I called yesterday, and they received our file on Wednesday... I have my case number but she said our package hasn't been generate yet. Do I need to keep calling and asking when it's been generated in order to email the DS-3032?

Many thanks for your help.

You need the IIN to pay for the AOS fee bill. You don't need it to e-mail the DS-3032.

The template for the DS-3032 e-mail is here:

http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/Email_DS-3032_form

Just send it to NVCINQUIRY@state.gov

From what I've read and been told, you can e-mail the DS-3032 even before it is generated. But it won't be accepted until then. You might get an automated response via e-mail saying it's been received, but that's all. It won't mean an acceptance yet.

We did not even try to get the IIN via the operator - it was mailed out on a Thursday we received it the following Wednesday.

Yes, mail the email now as it may take almost a week for them to accept it. The DS-3032 must be accepted before they generate the IV bill. As soon as our DS-3032 was accepted the online payment page showed the IV bill ready to be paid .

I used the NVC case number for the hard copy of the DS-3032

Operators are on duty M-F 7:30-midnight EST. My husband called the other night at 11:59 p.m. and they still picked up and were very pleasant. We were impressed! :star:

Thanks for the timeline , I will update the spreadsheet.

Patrycja:

You can email your DS-3032 to: NVCINQUIRY@state.gov as soon as it has been generated. Some filers have had luck submitting it before it was actually generated because it takes about a week for NVC to acknowledge the email. That way you can get a bit of a head start because by the time they accept the email the DS-3032 has been generated. I did not do that and it still worked out ok because we had to wait for the IIN in the mail before we could pay any fees and everything happened within a day.

The template for the email can be found through the shortcut link:http://www.visajourney.com/wiki/index.php/LingChe_NVC_ShortCut

Good luck everyone.

BTW both of our fees were marked "PAID" today! (I paid the AOS fee Feb 04 at 11:30 p.m. and the IV fee yesterday at noon. That was fast!)

We will be sending out both the I_864 and DS-230 together tomorrow. :dance

Hiii...

We, please look at my timeline to get some idea about when to send DS 3032...

First of all, for DS3032, u don't need IIN. All u need is ur case number. There are two that u can follow.

Option 1: Email them (follow the Linche Guide line for the email format)>>it takes about an week to get accepted. Many VJers sent it as soon as they got their case number.

Option 2: Mail them the DS3032 form signed by the beneficiary..it is more efficient cuz NVC accepts this option right away as soon as they get the form in hand. It is better if u send this by post after u hear from an operator saying that DS 3032 and AOS bill has been generated and sent. Remember: if it reaches to NVC before the DS 3032 has been generated it may delay ur process..so be in the safe side.

After they accepts it, ur IV bill is generated.

For both the bills, u need the IIN number to login the online payment system where u gonna have to wait for the AOS bill to arive....

Hope this will help....

Keep in touch

Sonia

I just noticed the timelines. Tried to edit my last post to say so. :)

Thanks everyone. I understand now. Been up and have hardly had any sleep. We're so happy to confirm the package is there and progressing. The operator also told us don't worry about my mother's birthplace issue in the I-130 since "we have nothing to do with" it. Sigh of relief there! But we'll still make affidavits and add supporting evidence just in case.
