Hello everyone.

We sent our file back in july 2007, we had our interview back in june 2008.

during the interview the officer asked us many questions about ourselves, wanted to see what proof we had to bonifide our mariage and wanted to see our pictures.

We had a lot of bank statements, bills insurance, tax in our both name, plane ticket and hotel stay... he took everything. He then ask to review our photos took a lot of them for himself to put inside the file.Asked about the pictures, where it was... that he`s been to rome and Paris too...

Continue to ask so many questions, but it didn`t seems to be like interogation it was more like a discussion.

I don` t know but maybe the fact that i came here on a VW in 2003, didn`t intend to stay but after 3 month my love proposed.

The officer asked me twice when my hubby proposed, why i came in the US i told him to visit my boyfriend, he then asked did you intend to stay? i said no i had my plane ticket to go back, he then said ok everything look good but i cannot approve you today because of one vaccination on your medical... send me a new medical and i will see, i`ll take a decision and you should recieve my answer in 4 to 8 weeks.

We sent a new medical the same day by UPS overnight.

Time passed i had a first info pass that let me know that they have 90 to take a decision. After 90 days nothiing. Second infopass, answer: you have to wait but it seems that your fingerprints will be outdated in november, come back in 3 month.

Third infopass, the officer tells me that they are waiting for one file to be answered...gave me an appointment for fingerprints and told me to wait 90 days after fingerprints are taken... Maybe then you`ll get an answer to tell you if you are approved or denied.

Is there anyone who had a similar story? does it happen? i` m so scared i don` t know what to do... seems like everuthing the last summer was against me, after the interview i got diagnose with a cancer... now this. this too much to bare. thanks for your answers.

I would recommend to get your senator involved. They should be able to give you a definite answer on why this is taking so long.

This is definitely taking way too long. Maybe you are stuck in a namecheck.

When you send the new medical, did you have a specific address to send it to? Maybe make sure that your medical paperwork was matched with your file.

I am sorry to hear about your cancer diagnosis.

In this tedious process, we tend to forget that this is all worth it.

I love my hubby beyond anything in this world.
