Interview in Philly

Hello Everyone Mariyas green card interview was today!!!!!! We drove the whole way down to philly, and when we finally reached the office we had to wait there for 2 hours. Finally we got to go back and the women we had our interview spoke broken english with a very strong accent. We had all the documents with us and it was very hd for Mariya or I to understand her!!! At the end of the interview she said we will recieve the results in 30 days. I asked her if everything looked good and she replied "me thinks it looked good" ????? From what I understand I guess she was new and needed to talk to her supervisor. The only thing she was not sure abot was the vaccination form because Mariya never recieved the hpv vaccination, however it was not made mandatory until I believe August 1st and we sent everything in at the end of september. So I am pretty sure she will recieve the approval notice within the next 30 days unless she needs to get the vaccination or fill out a waiver? This interview would of been alot easier if the interviewer knew english I also recieved a parking ticket because my parking meter ran out

Really? I was under the impression most people know the day of the interview if the green card was approved? I thought they stamped the I-94 right in fron of you and gave it to you? So this is normal?

That's what they did for us. Told us my wife was approved and stamped the passport.

I think we had to wait for a while too. I remember leaving and thinking, "Oh no. We must've missed something or maybe something's wrong." But, from what folks on VJ said, it's normal for them to not tell you because really it's not up to the interviewer, it's up to the supervisor or something like that. The interviewer only "recommends" you for approval and the supervisor has the final say.

As said above though, you should be just fine because if something was messed up, youd've known it then.

I don't know if I'd pay the ticket though. Sometimes parking tickets only apply if you live in that city or that state. There's a lot of reciprocity now though so it's possible that an unpaid ticket, even out of state could hold up your license renewal or tags or, worst case, end up with a capias out on you. Check it out though, maybe you don't need to pay it. (You'll just have to watch out next time you're driving in PA.)

Corey called the USCIS yesterday, they said that I got approved on 22nd, two days after the interview! Now I gotta wait for the card on the mail!
