WIC = Women, Infants and Children - a program for low income mothers with children under 5 to get help with things like formula, milk, cheese, cereal, and a few other basic food goods.

EBT = food stamps. This is where if you qualify you're given a monthly monetary allotment to spend at a food store, on most food items. The amount depends on your income threshold.

Ok Vjers,

We went to WIC and I(USC/Father) was found eligible. WIC is not only based on income but also on your child's health.

They took our daughter's metrics(height, weight etc) and took some blood. They analyzed the blood(Not Bloodwork!) and found that our girl is in perfect health. Yeeey!

So, we got all in all about $50 a month worth of Milk, Eggs, Cheese, Juice.

.....Finding out about your child's health...priceless!

They gave us a lot of great advice about nutrition and some recipes, etc.

I was really happy we went. Even if they wouldnt have given anything, it was still very much worth it!

No,

My fiance is of course NOT eligible! But I am.

So Women-Infants-Children is NOT limited to the female gender!!!!
