Reciept Number question

I have been trying to check the status of our case since I got the NOA1 back in Sept. I was unsuccessful with the reciept number on the back of the NOA1 but recently I was able to aquire a copy of the check cased from my bank. THere were two numbers that started with EAC but only one had 13 characters. Both number didnt work. :( Is it something I am doing wrong, or have they not touched our case yet? Its been 133 days and nothing from VSC. IS there something I am missing from this check number trick? Is it bad that its not working? :(":(

receipt number on the back of the NOA1? It should be on the front, at least it was on mine....

How similiar are the numbers from the receipt compared to the check copy?

Sorry I meant on the front :), I just sent the NOA1 to my fiance, they might be the same number but I am not sure. I will ask him for it though.
