Friend's Uncle file taxes without a W2!

Hi guys,

i have a friends uncle who will also have a Removing condition coming up in like 2 month before the 90day window period. His uncle has filed a joint tax return for 2 years without having a W2 form. He gets paid cash and no check. So he has no W2. He filed like almost 20,000 for each of the pass 2 years. So i was wondering will this affect him?

W-2 is not a requirement to file taxes (unless you work for an employer who issues them). Can't imagine how this would have any adverse affect.

He should be OK Joelyn, he filed with a form 10-99 in place of a W-2, most likely a Form 10-99MISC. He can use that 1099 to substitute the W-2.
