Can't believe how much Obama is stuttering the oath. You'd think the guy practiced it and it's not that long.

I'm sure it was cold outside as he's sensitive to the cold. And, knowing the adrenaline rush of about to become a world leader. I was anticipating this.

You all are prayer haters. ;)

not haters, but for me religion doesn't have a place in the government.. prayers are for church..

Prayer is for anywhere you want it to be. Obama looked like he was praying along. God knows how much prayer he is going to need becoming President, never mind the safety issues of being the first non-white Pres. Anyway, I don't see the big deal.

so the day a non-christian president is elected.. will people be cool with it? what if is a muslim president? will people say it's good he prays with the quran instead of the bible? or a mormon? or a jehovas witness?

of course.. that scenario is unlikely

Makes him so much more likeable, I think. It's not everyday that you become the President of the USA.

Point is... religion -any religion- has no place in a secular government. But then again, US presidents swear on a Bible...

That's as likely as having a black president and people being cool with that.

Yeah I never understood that. (To me) It makes more sense to swear on the Constitution rather than the Bible.

The US isn't a secular government though - I think that's the point. Of course - it should be.

He's acing his speech 'tho! Dayum, that man can talk. It feels like such a breath of fresh air to have a man in office who can talk intelligently.
