I thought his stuttering was cute. He must be so nervous.

Makes him so much more likeable, I think. It's not everyday that you become the President of the USA.

He's acing his speech 'tho! Dayum, that man can talk. It feels like such a breath of fresh air to have a man in office who can talk intelligently.

His speech writer is a 27 year old...

Oh no, the benediction! The atheists must be fuming now. Where's Rev. Wright? I'm sure I'd say something memorable if not inappropriate.

what's being inaugurated?

today is regime change day

oh, so people should change their diet?

Dunno about diet - but the country certainly does need an enema.

you didn't get it :bonk:

re·gime also ré·gime (r-zhm, r-)

4. A regulated system, as of diet and exercise; a regimen

Oh I got it. You just didn't get the joke.

Not only the atheists. Some believers do not like seeing this ####### on a presidential inauguration. It reeks of Divine Right of the Kings and other equally idiotic stuff.

I can stomach Lowery's sort of religion. His speech was definitely more appropriate -- very civil rights.

Maybe because Roberts was totally flubbing the oath.

I take it back. I'm so used to hearing "will faithfully execute," which is a split infinitive. Roberts said, "I will execute...faithfully," and maybe Obama wasn't expecting the words to be rearranged, or maybe he was just nervous. Watching it again, it wasn't as much a train wreck as it appeared live.
