The first thing that comes up in our mind when it comes to beach is "Boracay beach".

However, as time passes due to demands of the tourism of the place, there are numerous of changes that has been alarming not only with the people but also with the ways on how to maintain a prime tourist spot of the country.

In the other hand, I do believe so that only very few of us know about the town of Caramoan, in Camarines Sur province of Bicol. This town has a hidden jewel that the government is working hand and hand on preserving the natural resources and natural scenic spots of this place. The town of Caramoan is now starting to make a name due to its flawless white beaches and combined similarity to Palawan and Boracay islands.

Right now, SURVIVOR FRANCE is currently shooting in Gota Beach,Caramoan. And, SURVIVOR ISRAEL is next, so these are th reasons why Gota Beach is currently close for reservations due to the exclusive use of this reality tv show.

Below are pictures I gathered that shows the Caramoan Beaches,a wonderful creation of our almighty God.

10/20/2008- In Philippines helping assembly DS-230 Documents to send

10/22/2008- Sent DS-230 package by FedEx to NVC :

10/23/2008- DS-230 Package rec'd by R. Pearse 9:27am at NVC

10/24/2008- Now just waiting for NVC to approve DS-230

10/29/2008- NVC approved DS-230, Called today 11/1/2008 from Phils to ask status and was told the good news!!!

11/06/2008- Interview date set 12/12/2008, Received email reply confirming date but still need letter!

11/20/2008- Letter received in Philippines

11/25/2008- Medical at St Lukes everything ok!!!!!!

12/12/2008- Interview complete but need Marriage Index from NSO. Applied for 12/15/2008

01/06/2009- Got Marriage Index at NSO & took it to USEM, was told they will call when Visa can be picked up

01/16/2009- Visa delivered by Delbros....fantastic!!!!

Indeed, Boracay is way too overpriced.

Currently, I believe there is only one Resort which is open for reservation that is the Gota Beach which is under supervision of the Government of Camarines Sur. You may want to check the link I posted for the rates of the hotel and other useful links.

This place is very promising so I think it is under massive development.

right :thumbs: camiguin is cheap. but there are a lot of beautiful beaches in Philippines that are cheap. Camotes Island n Cebu, Bantayan Island...

Boracay is overpriced? We stayed there in December which is suppose to be high season and got a room for 1000php per night.

There are all sorts of hidden gems in the Philippines. I hope to find them all when I retire. A fellow in one of the expats groups I belong to actually toured several islands and took pictures. If I can find that link I will post it here.

I've been here once with my granny when she had her convention in the nearby island, but I was still very young.

My husband and I intended to go here but unfortunately, we ran out of time. Somehow when he gets back, prolly we can stop by. That if only when the Survivor Israel is through shooting.

You can really tell numerous of beautiful spots here in Philippines. Specially in eastern and western visayas.

But I am just little freaky about going to Visayan places.

Not too offend to anyone, but there are some hersay that there are some people from visayan places that knows a lot about voodoo that if someone didn't like you, they might throw some sort of spell to you. I don't really affirm to that but that just the reason why I'm kinda scared to go there.
