Hello,

I'm a swedish citizen who went over to the US on a Visa Waiver, ended up overstaying it and marrying. I have now overstayed over one year, and we still haven't filed the papers and it looks like we're splitting up. We've been married for a little over a year, and I've been with her for two and a half years.

My question now is, I want to make a flight from southern US to Las Vegas and stay there for two weeks and then fly back to Sweden (knowing that I'll get that 10 year ban which absolutely sucks, but is unavoidable) but what I am asking is it is possible as an illegal alien with a I-94 or whatever iti s called that has a year old stamp? Will I be arrested and detained at the airport?

What would happen if I walked into a club or a casino in LV and they looked my passport and flipped to the page where it says I'm an overstay? Would I be arrested and shipped home on the next flight and have to pay some type of fee and overpriced ticket as punishment?

I just want to stay there and visit since it's been a dream of mine, before having to go home for good, since I know I won't be able to return once I leave.

Does anyone know the protocol if so tell me please :)

They don't check your passport for anything unless you break the law except perhaps for proof of identity. The airline certainly does not check visas for domestic flights.

I don't exactly know what happens if you win a jackpot (like a slot machine) since they need to issue a 1099 so taxes get paid, but I would think they would just take estimated taxes out.

Go ahead - have a great time!

The only page they ever look at on my passport for a domestic flight is the photo page.

If you take hand luggage and get an e-ticket then you will only need the passport as identification.

If you check luggage, they may scan the readable strip on the passport (has yours got one of those?) Now I would imagine this only ties up to the airline computer..But......
