Hi

I submitted a K1 visa petition to USCIS/VSC and received a NOA1 receipt dated November 10, 2008. When I go online to check the status, the USCIS website gives me the message:

"Your case can not be found at this time in Case Status Online. Please check your receipt number and try again. If you need further assistance please call the National Customer Service Center at 1.800.375.5283."

When I call the above number and enter my case number, the recording tells me that my number cannot be found.

I am very frustrated, particularly since I cannot seem to get a person on the phone with USCIS although they say real people are available to speak.

Thanks for any help,

Tim

Dont worry, its happened to several people and myself included. unfortunately, USCIS have had problems with this recently and when speaking with them, they advised to call 6 months from filing...therefore, we may not be able to check our cases online at all unless they rectify this issue...on a positive note, you have your NOA1 so you're in the system.

ROC Journey:-

05.11.2012 -- mail I-751 packet

05.14.2012 -- Packet arrived @ VSC

xx.xx.2012 -- Check Cashed

05.15.2012 -- NOA1 dated 05.15.2012

05.31.2012 -- Biometric notice date

06.27.2012 -- Biometrics Taken

01.23.2013 -- Card Production Ordered.

01.28.2013 -- 10 Year Green Card Received

Hi, well yes it seems to be some annoying problem they are having with the receipt numbers, they could not find mine either, but I refused to give up.. and found my way to a customer service rep by pressing (maybe option 3 and then 1-- you might have to attempt a few times but it is possible to get someone on the line)... and after getting someone and asking them what is going on... they told me dont bother with the site.. and sent me to another rep who looked up my case status and told me its still pending.

In any case I will try calling again at the end of February. Good luck and dont give up.. where there is a will and patience its possible to get some kind of answer
