Most Filipinos are leaving the Philippines to seek greener pastures for one main reason: No jobs in the Philippines. You might want to rethink about relocating there and finding a job. Most of the expats who reside in the Philippines are pensioners and have no problem with making it financially even without holding a job. Those who are not pensioners are employed by American companies to work in a sister company in the Philippines, thus their residency there.

Yes it is a long process for the K3 but it is worth the wait. It is hard to be not together but there are ways to ease the emotional side of it. Many of us survived and I know you will too.

Read more about living and working in the Philippines and if you believe you have a good chance of getting a job there then go for it. Goodluck on your journey.

I have been gping there for every couple of months for the last for years. As a matter of fact I was planning to go in March and stay for 2 months, but now I'm planning to go next month and stay for four months. I'll probably get the NOA2 while I'm gone but I dont care spending time with my wife and baby is far more important to me than the visa process.

But everybody is not like me....

As others have said you might as well forget about going there and finding a job realistically it ain't gonna happen. But if you can afford it I;d encourage you to go there for as long a visit and as often as you can during the process.

Good luck

My friend had two, live-in maids that cost him a whopping 1500 pesos a month each.

Thats another reason I want to live in PI.

Live in maid for $30 per month, is unreal.

My wife family had 2 live in maids, and they took care of all the tedious stuff like shopping, cooking, cleaning, washing clothes.

Hello Everyone,

I must say that after everything that I have read about the visa/immigration process, that I am getting very

very discouraged! I-130 to Embassy interview average time 309 days!!! I really dont want to be away from my

new wife for 309 days. When I first started researching the whole visa process, I thought it was only going to take

6 months, boy was I wrong. So, if I wanted to live in the philippines and work there for awhile, while this process

unfolds, what would I have to do? I know my wife can petition me a visa, and I believe it is a much quicker process.

But what about working there? Anybody have an ideas? About me, I have a BA in Business Management, and over

400 hours of training as a massage therapist. I have worked in the retail and the food industry. Any advice would be

greatly appreciated.

Depressed in Ohio, Missing my wife,

Eric

Hi, staying in the Philippines while waiting for your wife's visa might give you more problem. If you stayed there for 6 or more months, you will be ask to re establish your domicile in US. If I were you, I will do some sacrifices which will be worth doing at the end. Me and my hubby undergo through some hindrances before we finally in each others arms again.

Hang in there. Everything will be alright, just need sacrifices for now. I know how that feels.

Goodluck! God bless...
