How early your case should be completed?

Can someone please shed some light on how early a case should be complete at NVC inorder to get next month Interview date? I really appericate you answering my question.

I think it depends on the NVC as well as the consulate. My case was completed on December 12th and i didn't get January interview although scheduling was not closed as yet at NVC but i did get a Feb interview. Some people have to wait a couple of months if the embassy has a lot of interviews to do as well, so it just depends. NVC will not give you any estimates.

The scheduling for Feb interviews is done at NVC, as it seems. Once your case is complete, you will have to wait until the 2nd week of Feb when they start scheduling for March interviews.

Typically, NVC schedules interviews for completed cases during the first 2 weeks of the month.

However, their scheduling is limited to the number of appointment dates set aside by the Embassy/Consulate and obviously by the backlog

of the Embassy/Consulate. So let's look at Feb. 2009...

If your case is completed between now and Feb. 12th, there's a good possibility that you would be scheduled for an interview in March.

If your Embassy/Consulate is busy, you may have to wait for April or even a later appointment date.
