Happy Monday to y'all! Need your advice...My NOA2 shows a validity from 01/14/09 to 05/13/09. Does this mean that my fiancee must be interviewed or must be issued his visa in the consulate before 05/13/09? Thanks for your help in advance!

TIMELINE:

October 6, 2008 - Sent I-129F to CSC

October 7, 2008 - Received at CSC

October 8, 2008 - NOA 1

October 9, 2008 - Check cashed

October 11, 2008 - Received NOA 1 hardcopy

January 14, 2009 - NOA 2 email notification (98 days after NOA1 date)

January 15, 2009 - Touched

January 17, 2009 -Received NOA 2 hardcopy

January 22, 2009 -Received in NVC

January 26, 2009 -Left NVC for U.S. embassy in Manila

January 30, 2009 -Received NVC harcopy letter

February 2, 2009 -Physical file received in USEM Manila

February 5, 2009-Called to set appointment for fiancee's interview

February 19, 20 2009 -Medical Exam at St. Luke's

March 10, 2009 -Interview

Not in the way you think it means "must". It just means if the interview doesn't occur but then, a Consular officer will perform the routine of extending the validity of the petition.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...

I have never seen an occurrance where the embassy didn't extend the date unless the beneficiary was non-responsive to the embassy.

Basically, it's just saying that you should have an interview scheduled somewhere between those dates. If not, a phone call to the embassy/consulate and an extension is in order.

We met in October 2007 and our immigration journey started in July 2008 when we filed for the I-129F Fiance Visa petition.

~7/1/2014~ Our son's first trip to Morocco

~03/17/2018~ Filed N-400

~04/09/2018~ Biometrics

~6/13/2018~ Off to Morocco, my parents in tow!

~10/23/2018~ Interview, approved

~11/7/2018~ Oath Ceremony
