Wasnt a bad blue day, but there was one person who stood out to make it a point to be rude and ignorant today.

Hmm lets see... I got onto a cash register to help the cashiers get the lines down. Take a customer, then the 2nd one in line. I greet him. He ignores me, so I said again "Sir, you doing alright today?" He turns to a woman on the side of him going to the register in front of us and says to her, ... hey mam how r u today? the lady customer says to the man customer, I'm doing good thanks. I ring up the mans 2 items and tell him Sir your total is $3.76 he throws the $5 down on the counter and turns back to the woman and says, Yep I cant wait til tomorrow its going to be a great day. Its going to be great to have a black man as President. Then turns to me and says, I want a gift card and throws the gift card on the counter to me. Then turns back to the woman in line on the side of him and says, Im taking tomorrow off work what about you? So I make the man his gift card and tell him his amount he owes and he throws the money on the counter at me again and says AGAIN to the woman in line, YEP tomorrow is going to be so great. I hand the man his receipt IN HIS HAND and I tell him Sir you have a good day.... He ignores me and says to the woman in line, oh you enjoy your day tomorrow mam.

WHAT THE HECK!!! Ignorance must be bliss bcz theres alot of this nonsense going on...

Then on the way out the door I pass thru the grocery side of the store and I hear a customer say to an employee "when our black President gets in....

Ummm as if just bcz Obama is black hes not the rest of us' President?

People, he is all of Americas president whether you are black, brown, white or olive... GET IT IN YOUR HEAD!

I'm not blue; it's my son's 15th birthday today and I'm having a great time playing Rock Band 2 with him - in fact, I keep scoring 100% on the expert singing levels. :D

And we're about to have a birthday pizza. And then a birthday ice cream cake. And then an upset stomach.

Mags....aren't you supposed to let him win if it's his bday?!

Tamara, do you, perchance, live in the South?

why bite your tongue?? It was extremely rude of him... If by chance I did the same thing to him, if it was the other way around and it was a young black man at the register and I threw money on the counter to him 2 times and a gift card slung it on the counter and ignored every greeting to me... no doubt no doubt someone would call it racist...

dont worry about biting your tongue, your lack of words speaks volumes

Whatever would make you think my comment was in response to your post? You and your life at Target (or wherever) really aren't interesting enough for me to comment on. Does that speak enough volumes for you?

Experts say Monday, January 19, 2009, will go down as the most depressing day in history.

Is it because of tomorrow?

Yesterday was a fun day for us, son called with a jammed door lock on his car, sure bring it over, and also my 3 month old granddaughter and that Fisher-Price crib mobile that I purchased for her that was jamming. He came over in the afternoon, his wife was working, so played with my granddaughter for a couple of hours, then picked up my wife. She was all excited, didn't see our granddaughter for a couple of weeks.

Didn't take long to repair his lock, have all the tools to remove the door panel. The mobile had rough spots on the gears, and not the best electrical connections, damn, does everything have to be made in China. Cleaned that up and got that working. Was worth a million bucks to see my granddaughter smiling and laughing when her mobile was running, played Beethoven while four birds circled around and three leaves when up and down. She grabbed my two fingers, I pulled her up, well only about 45* to a sit up position, maybe next time. She was a little apprehensive at first seeing me, but didn't take long to get reacquainted.

Nothing like new life to cheer you up, my wife, my son, my granddaughter, and myself had a blast last night, granddaughter is trying to talk already. Our shepherd also loves her.
