Hi Olesea thank you for sharing the info and I did actually get the book at the BMV last weekend, so I have been studying it. So the test consists of 40 questions well at least that helps and you also mentioned that its everything in the book. Thank you once again for this info.

I have a question, I went and got my license today (they said since I have a German license I just need to pass the vision test) and it will expires on 01/02/2010 which is not suprise, its 1 year after the NOA1 date on the NOA1.... but it says Non-Renewable and Non-Transferable on it. I read about it in the book, but it confuses me, and Craig has no idea either what it means. If it's not renewable, what happens in a year when it expires?!?!

12/27/08 --> AOS/EAD/AP send to Chicago

5/13/09 --> found a job and we picked out Molly (Beagle Puppy)

5/23/09 --> "Welcome to the United States of America"

6/2/09 --> AOS approved

Julia, I successfully renewed my "non renewable and non transferrable" Ohio license last week. No idea what it means but apparently it CAN be renewed! All I had to do was show my green card (original license was got on my EAD card) and pay them money. Easy enough.

I called the DMV today and they said that seeing as I have a UK license, I need to take the whole test, driving part included... Has anyone else had this? Can I drive myself to the test seeing as I have a license? .... What if I fail???

well im not from UK but i have a DL from my country too but i had to pass the written test(took me 15 min) and when me and my hubby have time im gonna go and try to pass the driving test...and if you fail ,you have 3 more times you can go to try and pass it , and if you still fail after all 4 times i think you have to try in a year...im sure you will do great..

ok good luck to you there :thumbs:
