This is my first post, although I read here every day. It is so heartening to realise all you people are going through the same as us.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me if it possible to apply for this EAD when you apply for your K1-visa? I am a vocal coach part-time :whistle: & so it would not be a great problem for me to stop working whilst we go through the AOS process. Is it just a pot luck thing at the airport you arrive at?

5-11-2005 Began visa journey.

7-12-2005 NOA1 dated the 5-12-2005.

12-5-2006 Posted Reply and did Police Check

15-5-2006 Medical in Sydney

19-5-2006 Packet 4 Arrives

30-5-2006 Sceduled Interview

..................Interview went well, just waiting on Criminal History checks to post back with that envelopee and passport to get visa.

5-6-2006 Received Criminal History Check in the mail and posted off back to consulate with passport etc hoping for it's return with visa in two weeks.

14-6-2006 Passport and visa recieved in mail. Visa issued the 13th.

24-6-2006 USA here I come

26-7-2006 Received Social Security Card in less than 5 working days after applying.

you can ask for the EAD stamp at your POE.... you may get it you may not...

This temp EAD is valid for 90 days from entry then you will have to stop working until you receive your 1 year EAD that you applied for with AOS...

Unless you are ready to file AOS as soon as you get here and you have all the evidence (marriage cert can take 2 weeks to get)and you will need to apply for a SSN and it can take 2 weeks or more then there will/may be a gap between your temp EAD ending and your 1 year EAD being in your hand.

April 25,06 started working.

Aug. 18,06 passed the colorado driving test

Sept. 28,06 got my own car

Aug. 28,12 7th year wedding anniversary

July 11,2011 became a Citizen of US

Oh Ok, thanks One-coolchiq, My POE will probably be LA so I will try to ask there for the temorary EAD. :D
