LOL....Mine is also peaceful..We filed on the 18th Of jan. Had to wait 30days since court closed today had to wait till tomorrow! YIPEE!! Gonna have a party tomorrow night!! HAHAHAHA

Let me tell you girl, I have been divorced for a few years now and was married almost 13...got married young and stupid at 18. I am just now ridding myself of that fool. He has drug me financially into the ground so the day I have to go to my unfortunate bankruptcy court I am going to party down. That means besides our two children that man has no hold on me anymore! I do remember after the little 5 minute spew to the judge like do you wish to relinquish your marital rights and such I said YESSSSSSSSS and almost fell running down the courthouse steps so fast! I kicked my heels up at the bottom of them and shook my booty for all to see. My friend said I have never seen anybody so happy and smiling in all her life. I told her, I felt like a bird let out of a darn cage!!

HAHA sounds like me! Mine is a control freak...I have no freinds anymore no job...Its even harder now trying to get a job! I been marired 3yrs +! Got married kinda young STUPID mistake! I regret ever getting married to him! Has broken me down as a person big time! If it wasnt for my SO I really dont know what i would be doing right now! He has showed me how someone should be treated! And being yelled at isnt one of them! I would get yelled at for little things taking a shower everyday wanting to go with my family to spend the day! Anything and everything he can find to yell at me about he did! Took a toll on me mentally and physically! I will get my wings back though!

At least you figured it out before you were married too many years. Mine was a sex addict addicted to women...sneaky ####### too. God only knows what he has done!! It's sad how some people can make you lose yourself. I'm happy for you that you found somebody that makes you feel good. I am off to bed for the night, the kids are asleep and I need to catch up from losing sleep worrying about Ayman leaving. Take care dear and good luck tomorrow!

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive,and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.
