thanks brnidokiegurl! will they really care about the present bank stmt balance? Is there a specific or est amount that I need to keep in my bank deposit? I am in the process of completing my affidavit of support. I already have my employment letter and income tax documents. Do I need to include anything else for my evidence of financial support? Pls advise.

But if you are a border line case, you should try to bolster your case in whatever way you can. A letter from the bank isn't really necessary, copies of you bank statement are good enough (enough months to show an average balance).

We took 12 months of bank statements, they didn't want them at the interview.

I would take a couple of the last months statements if you have some money in the bank, if your account is low then don't worry about it.
