Hello all

I just received my biometrics appointment letter in the mail but have yet to receive my

1-year extension letter. (My green card expires in March.) Should I be concerned? Did anyone else get their bio letter before the extension? If so, how long did it take before it came?

thanks

The same thing happened to me last year, and I called the 800 number about one month before my expiration date. The officer with whom I was connected over the phone told me that he would print out the notice with one year extension and mail it to me before he would leave for home on that day, and I did receive it in mail within a week. Good luck!

Just to make sure I'm understanding this correctly: the letter with my biometrics appointment is also the one-year extension letter?

I called the USCIS this morning and they said that many people don't get NOA letters. They advised that I wait a week then if it doesn't show up, make an infopass appointment for the stamp in my passport. I travel out of the country about once a month for work, so it's going to be essential for me.

I would suggest you get a stamp then... but i hear sometimes people have trouble getting it if your card is not close to being expired (sometimes asking people to wait longer for the letter)... when i tried to make a infopass to get they stamp earlier, they would not give me one. I actually made a couple the days before my card expired and i got the letter the night before the appointment.
