Medical (I693)-TB test required?

I am applying for AOS and need to attach form I693. According to the instructions, I only need to fill out the vaccination section of part 2.

I went to the Civil surgeon and she gave me a list of all the vaccinations required. Initially she also said I needed a skin test for TB. But then I pointed out to her that thats not asked for in the vaccination section so then eventually she said I could probably go without it.

I did not get the TB test in my medical exam in Pakistan, should I get it now or is it not required??

Thanks.

From my own experience, while immigrating from Canada, for my initial medical examination I was not given a TB test. Since it's been over a year since I've had the exam done, I needed another so I could file. The doctor I saw here in Florida informed me I was up to date on all my vaccinations, and all I needed was an exam and a TB check, which came out to a total of 140$, where it was 50$ for the test, and 90$ for the exam.

According to civilsurgeons.com, a TB test is required for everyone over the age of 2. I can't say what would happen if you submitted your application without having this done, but ultimately they're probably going to ask you to take one, so you should probably get it done now and get it out of the way, unless there's some medical reason preventing you.

Just sharing my personal experiences in the matter. I hope it all works out for you. :)

hey you might wana get the TB test done as well, you never know. We got some serious Son of a b**ches up in the embassy in ISB. If it is inexpensive and easy to get, dont take a risk and get it done.

Ebad.

Read all about it here http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...0004718190aRCRD

If your medical was after June 1, you need a TB skin test. It's not an immunization. It's a TEST just like a test for HIV or venereal disease, so would not show up on an immunization chart. Also panel physicians in the foreign countries are not instructed to give it. Some countries may not even have the required serum to give the test. It's new and alot of CSs are not informed of it very well. At least yours is on top of things.
