Surgery to revirginize her common procedure in sudia arabia

This always makes me laugh. There may be a surgery that will reconnect her hyman, but it does not give her back her virginity. Once it's gone, it's gone.

I think I know what you are talking about....In order for my husband and I to get married we had to get a paper from the doctor stating that I was a virgin. I didn't even see the doctor, he just paid the doctor for it. You can do that....I can ask my husband more about it if you like

Interesting. I was reading the first page and :rofl: because I knew that my husband went with 4 witnesses to some court, the witnesses all swore he was single and he got his certificate of celebataire. (celebataire is french for single). In talking with him about this thread, he did say that when one is going to marry (k3 vs. k1) they do need a certificate of being a virigin, as Casandra just wrote. So apparently two different requirements for 2 different visa types. Doesn't surprise me though that one can pay off the doctor.. (not saying YOU did Cas, just know it's done a lot for a variety of things in Maroc).

I have never heard anyone mention this before.

My only guess as to why they would ask for this is one of two reasons. One is that they ask for it in order to put stipulations in the marriage contract (there was recently a "North African" man in France who was awarded by a French judge, the return of the bride's dowry, for breach of contract, because she was not a virgin). My second guess would be a religious reason. There is a passage in the Quran (I can look for it later) that says an adulterer only marries and adulteress and a chaste man only marries a chaste woman, so on and so forth. Perhaps that is why they ask for it???

Not poking at you NT4H, but I'm just wondering what the religious balance is in Morocco, ie., Christian, Muslim, Jewish, etc.

Does anyone know?

This might sound crazy but if here family finds out they might KILL HER OR PUT HER OUT OF THE HOUSE.Morocco is a very cultural country this SEX before marriage is a no no not like in US where boyfriends and girlfriends are ok just keep that too yourself .

Okay, so you made your point, sex before marriage in Morocco is a no no, however to try and fix a mistake with another mistake doesn't further your point.

What I mean is this: There's this belief that the words "boyfriend" and "girlfriend" (among Americans) mean "sex partners" and, honestly, they don't. If you'd like to know how we go about getting married, I'm sure American (and probably Canadians and maybe even the British) men and women would be happy to tell you all about it. But, please, don't assume that we're all out there having sex with anyone we want to because it's just not true. Okay?
