Baka naman sumakit tiyan namin dito or worse ma-food poison kami.

Ako din may tanim na Anaheim chili. Puede kainin ang dajon.

Hi Marie,

Maybe they sell chili leaves at Asian store there? Dito kasi sa WA, halos lahat nang Filipino ingredients mabibili mo dito.

Do you live near the SeaFood City? Baka meron sila doon.

But you can also use malunggay or spinach leaves. Yummy...

Hi Chinook! Yeah they do sell dahon ng sili in Seafood City, but it's 50 miles away. Don't know when husband and I will go to Vallejo, but the chili leaves are on the top of my shopping list now. There's an Asian store in Santa Rosa, but I don't see any dahol ng sili. Just the papaya which cost too much. I guess I'm gonna use spinach. Thanks.

Nasa frozen section ang dajon ng sili.

i miss alukon, bagoong isda, labong saluyot at galunggong :(

Ay, apo, naimas ti rabong ken saluyot with inihaw na bangus.

Thanks Capt. Pepe. Pitasin ko na lang yung dahon ng Anaheim chili pepper dito sa bahay para kumpleto na tinola ko. Nakakain pala. Yay, awesome.

Wen nagimas ti dinengdeng nga adda ti rabong, inihaw na bangus saka alokon anya?

Hokey Smoke!

Wow, dinengdeng..(is my spelling correct?)

I've been craving for this, but I forgot the name. I've tasted this 2-3x only. This is an Ilocano dish, right?

I love it!!!

Pepe, I'm surprised that you also speak Ilonggo. How did you learn it?

Kanamit gid sang dinengdeng !!! (It is very tasty...)

I tasted it when I was in Manila. I wish I knew how to cook it. I think you use the Ilocano bago-ong here, not the Visayan bago-ong.

Pepe, I remember now. You're the twin of ma-cool-it. :P

And your wife is from Davao...and that's how you learned Ilonggo.

Di ko ka-relate Spanish. I only know that poem of Rizal - 'Adios patria adorada...region del sol ....'. We were required to memorize it in our Rizal class.

Yeah my bitter melon finally has some fruit, I planted it a year ago. Also my papaya tress are starting to get some green papayas too. Also my mulungay has plenty of pods and leaves. Hmm also get plenty feral chickens again. Maybe my wife can cook some chicken papaya, and pinakbit. The one thing I do crave is the chowking halo halo. We can get halo halo here, but it is not the same. I think I will go eat some adobo from the Filipino store nearby, just have to decide which store to go to.
