No Divorce Decree. Now What?

My husband was divorced almost 20 years ago. We have tried to get a certified copy of his divorce decree from the courts in Denmark, but they tell him they don't have it and can't provide it. What do we do if we can't provide a certified (or even plain copy for that matter) of his divorce decree? Obviously we were free to marry or they wouldn't have let us marry here in Denmark.

Does he remeber the city court where he got divorce?

If they cant provided it, he should get the Certify Letter from the court of Denmark saying they lost it and cant find it.

You should get in contact with the USCIS abt this. call and ask. There shall be an answer/ answers

Wow, that long uh and no records on site? Well few options are try to get those people involved in the divorce and certified a letter stating that they were legally divorced. Court members, judge... etc.. whomever present that day of divorced. Might be hard to find those people if he doesnt have thier names...goodluck!
